Jon Stewart Defends Colbert’s Congressional Appearance (Video)

Calls House “the Andy Dick of government,” Tucker Carlson an “arrogant douche”

On Monday's "Daily Show," Jon Stewart defended his Comedy Central colleague and rival rally-thrower Stephen Colbert's in-character visit to Capitol Hill on Friday to testify in front of Congress on behalf of immigrant farm laborers.

Stewart fired back at critics, who said that Colbert should be more embarrassed about the appearance than Congress.

"You can't embarrass the House of Representatives — they're the Andy Dick of our government," Stewart said. "It's like, when you make out with Andy Dick, he's not the one worried about cold sores."

He also called Tucker Carlson, who said Colbert was not funny, an "arrogant douche."
