Jon Stewart Devotes Entire ‘Daily Show’ to Celebrate Glenn Beck’s Fox News Exit (Video)

“Daily Show” host busts out chalkboard, glasses, warns audience of impending doom in a melodramatic way, signified by changes in seating, lighting and camera angles

Jon Stewart celebrated the announcement of Glenn Beck's Fox News exit with a Beck-esque melodramatic intro to Thursday's "Daily Show," seated on a stool with glasses and backed by a pair of chalkboards.

Stewart then spent a full 15 minutes (the entire show, minus an interview with celebrity chef Jamie Oliver) mocking Beck, warning the audience of "impending doom" — which, of course, is "signified by changes in seating, lighting and camera angles."

After showing the clip of Beck's Wednesday announcement — in which the cable news star compared himself to Paul Revere — Stewart called Beck a "sweet, sweet, humble man."

Stewart concluded that Beck "started to believe his own messianic delusions and became a giant pain in the ass" for the top-rated cable network.
