Jon Stewart Rips CNN to Anchor’s Face By Comparing Network to Horror Icon Chucky (Video)

“I want more of good CNN,” Stewart concluded while being interviewed by Fareed Zakaria

Jon Stewart has a history of making fun of CNN while appearing on the cable news network, and did it again on Sunday when he compared it to horror icon Chucky. You know, the killer doll from the “Child’s Play” movies.

“CNN is very similar to the doll Chucky,” Stewart told anchor Fareed Zakaria during the interview (above). “Sometimes it’s good Chucky, but you really got to watch out for bad Chucky.”

The jab came after Zakaria pressed the “Daily Show” host to admit he turns to CNN to watch “brave correspondents” break important news.

Stewart replied with his usual mockery: “Here’s what I doI set a Google alert for ‘Blitzer.’ And then, I just wait. ‘We have a CNN exclusive tonight. The Empire State Building is blue.’”

Stewart, who was promoting his directorial debut “Rosewater,” then got serious for a moment.

The reason why I make fun of certain aspects of CNN is to be inspired by the brave reporting is to want more,” Stewart said. “I want more of good CNN.”
