Jon Stewart’s Got a New Job: Trevor Noah’s Sandwich Boy (Video)

Former “Daily Show” host’s mustard game is strong

Jon Stewart’s not exactly spending his retirement by kicking back on a porch swing somewhere, sipping on lemonade — if anything, he’s bringing a beverage to Comedy Central successor Trevor Noah.

“The Late Show” featured a “Daily Show” reunion last night, as Stephen Colbert, Ed Helms, Rob Corddry, Samantha Bee, John Oliver and Stewart spent some time together on CBS. Colbert’s new gig’s cold open started with Stewart making a killer sandwich, complete with whole grain mustard and radish marigolds. Turns out, it wasn’t for him.

A late and frazzled Stewart rushed the lunch order over to a frustrated Noah, who was impatiently awaiting his meal. With the mashing of another button, Noah got Colbert to run in carrying a Coke. That’s when they all got into it over the precise flower Stewart carved from the root vegetables.

“Look, I don’t have time to do this today — I’ve got a show to do,” Noah says of the disagreement.

“So do I,” Colbert says.

As for Stewart, well, he just hangs his head in unemployed shame. Watch the video above.
