The ceremony will take place on Jan. 26 in Park City, Utah, and will be live-streamed on the Sundance website. The festival runs Jan. 17-27.

The former "3rd Rock From the Sun" child star has appeared in a total of seven films at Sundance.

Though most recently he has transitioned to high-profile blockbusters, including "Inception," "The Dark Knight Rises" and "Looper," Gordon-Levitt launched his big-screen career with performances in independent films like "Mysterious Skin," "Brick" and "500 Days of Summer."
