Judy Greer in Talks for Jason Reitman’s ‘Men, Women & Children’ (Exclusive)

Adam Sandler, Rosemarie Dewitt and Jennifer Garner have already signed on to star

Judy Greer is in talks to join the cast of “Men, Women & Children,” the next movie from writer-director Jason Reitman, several individuals familiar with the project told TheWrap.

Greer’s negotiations have been complicated by the status of Andrew Gurland’s FX pilot, in which Greer will star opposite Nat Faxon. It looks like FX is going to pick up the pilot, according to one of those individuals, but Greer will still try to fit the movie into her schedule.

Adam Sandler, Jennifer Garner and Rosemarie DeWitt have already signed on to star in the film, which Reitman co-wrote with Erin Cressida Wilson based on Chad Kultgen’s book of the same name. It chronicles the sexual frustrations of junior-high students and their parents in the digital age.

Greer will play Joan Clint, a mom who posts alluring photos of her daughter online.

The “Thank You for Smoking” filmmaker liked the book so much he wrote a blurb for it when it was published and picked it as his next project before the debut his latest movie, “Labor Day.” Paramount will release that film in December. Early buzz out of that film’s festival appearances is strong.

Greer is in theaters nationwide this weekend in “Carrie,” a remake of the horror classic; and has shot next year’s “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” and Brad Bird’s “Tomorrowland.”

She is represented by CAA, Principato-Young and attorney Fred Toczek.
