Julia Louis-Dreyfus Shares Breast Cancer Update, Reveals Her Favorite ‘Veep’ Scene (Video)

We wouldn’t have included the second “Kimmel” segment if the first one wasn’t great news

Cancer-free national treasure Julia Louis-Dreyfus joined Jimmy Kimmel in Brooklyn Thursday night, when the “Veep” star shared both good news and her favorite scene from the HBO sitcom. Yes, it was a true Thursday twofer.

“I am good. I am really good,” Louis-Dreyfus said on the ABC late-night show. “I know we have to get this cancer s–t out of the way, so bring on the questions.”

Louis-Dreyfus told Kimmel that she has officially beaten breast cancer and feels “very strong.”

“I’ve got red lips, so what could go wrong?” she said to the uproarious “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on-location audience.

Now doing well and back to work on “Veep,” Louis-Dreyfus continues to make her highly personal battle very public in an effort to spread an important message to legislators.

“Healthcare should be for all,” she said. “I believed that before and I really believe that now.”

Since it’s so much more important than any entertainment frivolity, watch Louis-Dreyfus deliver her health update via the video above.

Finally, let’s wipe those tears of joy and some fun. Since we refuse to let you hear it from us, watch JLD recall her favorite “Veep” scene via the video below. Yes, it involves Tony Hale.
