‘Justice League’ Deleted Scene Debuts Superman’s Black Suit (Video)

Suit appears as Henry Cavill’s Kal-El walks through Kryptonian ship

A deleted scene from “Justice League” has surfaced online ahead of the film’s release on Digital HD next week, which finally reveals Superman’s black suit. Watch the clip above.

The clip shows Henry Cavill’s Kal-El on the Kryptonian ship shortly after his resurrection by the Justice League. Made famous in the Superman comic storyline, “Reign of the Supermen” from the early ’90s, Superman’s black suit shows up in the background as Kal-El walks through the Kryptonian ship, but it disappears after he takes a quick look at it. It’s a pretty cool easter egg for DC comic fans.

Despite the assembled might of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Aquaman, and The Flash, “Justice League” opened well below studio expectations, at $96 million. This film aimed to be a high point for the DCEU, following off the momentum made by “Wonder Woman” last year, by having the popular heroine join forces with Batman, Cyborg, The Flash, Aquaman and a resurrected Superman.

“Justice League” arrives on digital formats on Feb. 13, 2018, with a home video release set for March 13, 2018.
