Justin Bieber apparently never experienced the joy of watching “Hocus Pocus” during his busy childhood filled with fame and fortune, because he has no idea who Bette Midler is.
But he has heard of Britt Meddler, whoever that is.
The “What Do You Mean?” singer said he’s not familiar with the Hollywood star when Billboard asked for his reaction to a tweet Midler wrote last month after the pop star’s dad said (also via Twitter) he was “proud” of his son’s endowment showcased in naked paparazzi pictures.
“What do you feed that thing,” Bieber’s dad tweeted, to which Midler said: “The biggest dick in this situation is the dad who abandoned his son.”
“This Britt Meddler,” Bieber said, apparently completely unaware of the two-time Oscar nominee’s actual name. “I don’t even know who that is, honestly. I wanted to immediately say ‘Who is this lady?’, but then I’m just fueling this negativity.”
“I do feel the photo was an invasion of my privacy,” he continued while discussing the photos that surfaced in October. “I felt super violated. My dad made light of it, but I don’t think that’s sick and twisted. It was funny. Dads are going to be dads.”
Bieber has been making headlines in recent weeks, throwing a hissy fit on stage and walking out mid-song, interrupting a performance because his fans were clapping wrong, and exiting in the middle of a Spanish radio interview because the hosts asked him to help them break the internet.
