Justin Bieber Defends Himself After ‘CSI’ Star’s ‘Brat’ Slam

After Marg Helgenberger took a shot at him in a French paper, the “Baby” singer tweets that it’s “kinda lame” when people talk trash about him

Don't dare call Justin Bieber a brat — lest he might lash out you across the Internet in 140 characters or less.

Marg Helgenberger — who plays Catherine Willows on CBS' hit police procedural "CSI" — incurred the wrath of the 17-year-old "Baby" singer when she told French publication Le Grand Direct des Medias that Bieber, who filmed a guest-starring stint on of the series last year, acted like a "brat" on set.

Helgenberger told the magazine that the "Never Say Never" sensation locked one of the show's producers "in a closet" and put "his fist through a cake that was on the craft service table."

Helgenberger's criticism was apparently enough to send Bieber rushing to his Twitter account in apparent retaliation. In seeming response to Helgenberger's comments, Bieber noted, "It's kinda lame when someone you met briefly and never worked with comments on you.

"I will continue to wish them luck and be kind," Bieber added, taking the high road.

The singer went on to note that Helgenberger's attack on his character (if that is indeed what he was referring to) is hardly an isolated incident for him. "Rumors are just that … rumors," he tweeted. "In the end, if you just be kind and be yourself people will know who you are. That goes for anyone I think."

Bieber should probably maintain a little perspective. At least words are incapable of doing physical harm. Unlike, say, the eggs that were hurled at him by his "fans" at a recent concert.
