Justin Timberlake Announces New Album ‘Man of the Woods’ (Video)

The pop star’s fifth studio album to be released ahead of Super Bowl LII halftime performance

Justin Timberlake announced that his fifth studio album will be released Friday, Feb. 2, two days before he takes the halftime stage at Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis.

A single from the album will drop this Friday.

In the teaser for the video, Timberlake talks about his wife, Jessica Biel, and the impact she and their son have had on his music. He said that more than any other album he’s written it’s also inspired by where he’s from — Tennessee.

“It feels like the album is inspired by trees, campfires, like Wild West,” you can hear Biel’s voice-over between snippets of new songs and images of fires, horses and snowy landscapes.

“It feels so earthy, it’s just where you are in your life right now,” says Pharrell Williams, who is seen in the studio with Timberlake near the end of the video. “That is a smash.”
