Kanye’s ‘Rolling Stone’ No. 1 Album of 2010

Black Keys. Elton John, Arcade Fire & Taylor Swift all make music mag’s Top 30 list

Kanye West is number one.

At least according to the editors of “Rolling Stone,” who called the rapper’s “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” album “music as sprawlingly messy as his life” – and they meant that in a good way.

West, whose album debuted at number 1 after it came out on Nov. 22, leads the music magazine’s year-end list of the Top 30 of 2010. “Brothers” from 21st century blues duo The Black Keys follows at number two, with releases by Elton John and Leon Russell, Arcade Fire and Jamey Johnson filling out the top five.

Albums that came out this year by Eminem, who scored big in the recent Grammy nominations announcement, Jack White’s Dead Weather, Kings of Leon, Big Boi and country ingénue Taylor Swift all made the list too.
