It’s been suggested that too much salt can be bad for you, but usually not like this.

Comedian Katt Williams has been sued by a man who says that Williams threw a salt shaker at him, causing “severe injury, pain and suffering,” Courthouse News Service reports.

The suit, filed in Superior Court in Fulton County, Georgia, says that Kevin Oliveira was working at Spondivits Restaurant in Georgia greeting and seating customers when Williams walked in “with other individuals.” The suit says that Oliveira told Williams and his party that there was a wait.

After which, the suit says, Williams “became annoyed and irate and without provocation intentionally threw a glass salt shaker at and in the direction of [Oliveira] striking him in the face and causing injury to his mouth and lip.”

According to the suit, Oliveira was sent to the hospital, where he required approximately 10 stitches. The suit also says that the injury resulted in “substantial edema.”

Alleging aggravated assault, aggravated battery, battery and simple battery, the suit seeks unspecified damages.

TheWrap has reached out to a spokesperson for Williams for comment on the suit.
