Sometimes “Carpool Karaoke” saves marriages. On Wednesday’s episode of the recurring “Late Late Show” segment, James Corden surprised guest Kelly Clarkson with an impromptu date-night with her husband/manager.
Complete with sparkling cider, chocolate covered strawberries and a violinist, backseat-left passenger Brandon Blackstock declared, “I feel like we’re making a porn.”
It did kind of have that vibe, to be fair.
Of course, with the original “American Idol” winner riding shotgun in the CBS personality’s Range Rover SUV, there was plenty of the skit’s trademark singing.
Clarkson and Corden kicked the whole thing off with a little “Since You’ve Been Gone,” and later did some serious justice to “Stronger.”
Corden even dropped a solid Seal joke along the way to work. Watch the video above.
