Kelly Mullens Brown is leaving public relations firm 42West in order to join Ryan Seacrest Productions as executive vice president of external relations. Brown, who serves as managing director, strategic communications division at 42West, will remain on until July 9.
At Ryan Seacrest Productions, Mullens Brown will handle global communications, philanthropy and community relations and will be involved with marketing, sponsorship, strategy and new business development, reporting directly to Seacrest.
Mullens Brown has been with 42West's Los Angeles office since 2006, rising to managing director in 2011. Mullens Brown's clients have included AFTRA, Peter Chernin, DreamWorks Animation and "The Avengers" writer/director Joss Whedon.

Prior to 42West, Mullens Brown served as a senior executive at the crisis firm Sitrick and Company's Entertainment Practice. Her resume also includes stints at Sony Corporation of America and Universal Music Group.
