Kevin Spacey: ‘I Drop the F-Bomb Like a Noun’ (Video)

The “House of Cards” star cops to his bad habit on the “Today” show

Kevin Spacey dropped by the “Today” show Tuesday to talk about his “House of Cards” character and more.

Matt Lauer brought up Spacey’s Golden Globes speech, which had to be bleeped out for good chunks because of his penchant for cursing.

“Do you have some new friends at the FCC?” Lauer joked.

“It’s true, I drop the F-bomb like a noun,” Spacey admitted. “It’s a pretty bad habit, I have to remember if I’m at a some charitable event where kids are…don’t swear in front of the kids.”

On his hit Netflix show, Spacey said the show has been willing to explore different issues and relationships in several ways, like his character Frank Underwood looking directly into the camera for asides throughout the series.

“Sometimes I think it can be extraordinarily serious and sometimes it can absolutely feel like that really happened,” Spacey said.

He also said fans who conclude his character has accomplished all his goals by reaching The White House are off base.

“Once you’re there, how to govern, how to go about trying to accomplish the things you want to accomplish?” he said.
