Oh, baby; Kim Kardashian and Kanye West gave birth to a Twitterstorm on Friday, after Kardashian revealed the name of their newborn daughter to be Chicago West.

The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star took to Twitter on Friday morning to make the announcement, posting, simply, “Chicago West.”

She subsequently tweeted, “North, Saint & Chi,” referring to the couple’s two other children.

The unusual name does bear relevance to the couple, as rapper West grew up in the Windy City. And a number of Twitter users posted their support for the moniker. But the wags populating social media couldn’t help but toss in their bemused two cents on the choice.

More than one Twitter user suggested that “Chicago West” could be the name of a television program, with one response saying that it “sounds like a show on nbc that my mom live tweets after a bottle of white wine.” Yet another suggested that it “sounds like a knock off film festival.”

And one more reaction asked, “Chicago West isn’t a community college?”

Another response responded with a backhanded compliment to the “The Life of Pablo” rapper, tweeting, “Chicago West might be the Blackest thing Kanye has done in about 5 years or so.”

And then there was the lament, “Chicago West. This name is hurting my feelings.”

Kardashian announced the birth of her third child Tuesday, tweeting, “She’s here” and, later, “#momofthree.”

Read on for more reactions.
