Kim Kardashian West was tied up by armed robbers, locked in a bathroom and had over $10 million worth of jewelry stolen on Sunday night, according to the Associated Press.
Kardashian West was in Paris staying at a private residence when the burglary took place. The burglars are still at large, while a spokesperson said the reality TV star is “badly shaken but physically unharmed.”
The men were dressed as police officers and wore ski masks, and put a gun to her temple, according to Reuters. Paris police officials told the AP that five assailants stole a jewelry box containing valuables worth between $5.6 and $6.7 million, as well as a ring worth about $4.5 million.
The Paris prosecutors’ office said that only two of the five suspects forced their way into the apartment, according to the AP, and the robbers escaped on bikes. It remains unclear whether Kardashian West’s children, 3-year-old daughter North and 10-month-old son Saint, were home when the burglary occurred.
Kanye West cut short a concert at Citi Field in Queens, New York on Sunday night when he learned of the incident, telling the crowd, “I’m sorry, family emergency, I have to stop the show.”
Kardashian West was in Paris attending fashion week shows. She left France aboard a private jet from Le Bourget airport after speaking to investigators.
