The family of the late Kim Porter released a statement on Friday addressing the sudden death of the former model and actress.

“God broke the mold when he made Kim, there was truly no other woman like her,” the Porter, Goodwin and Combs families said in a statement on Friday to the Associated Press. “Although her time here on earth was far too short, she lived a life full of purpose and meaning. She was a loving mother and devoted friend. She was the epitome of kindness and grace. There wasn’t a person she met who’s soul she did not touch. Kim was the type of woman who changed lives for the better. She will be forever remembered and missed by so many. As her family, we promise to honor her every day of our lives. We love you always,” the statement went on to say.

As reported by TheWrap, Porter, mother of three of hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy’ Combs’ children, died at the age of 47 on Nov. 15.

“Sadly, I can confirm the passing of Kim Porter. I ask that you give the families privacy at this time,” the rep said in a statement to TheWrap.

TMZ reported last week that Porter had been suffering flu-like symptoms, possibly pneumonia, for several weeks before her death. A call came in Thursday morning around 11:30 a.m. and Porter was found unresponsive at her Toluca Lake, California home, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. She was declared dead shortly thereafter.

Combs has taken to social media to mourn Porter’s death. On Friday, Combs posted a video on Instagram, saying he has been going through “some dark times” and that he wants to send love and prayers to every one of his fans.

“This is a prayer I said like a year ago. God help us. Love to all.” Combs commented on his video post.

Porter’s funeral is scheduled to take place on Saturday at Cascade Hills Church in Columbus, Georgia, according to the AP.
