Kimmel Says Aaron Rodgers’ Vax Lie Is COVID-19 Version of ‘The Condom Fell Off’ Excuse (Video)

“The only thing worse than not getting vaccinated when you’re in close contact with other people, is letting them think you’re vaccinated, when you’re not,” Kimmel says

Jimmy Kimmel bashed Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ lie about being vaccinated against COVID-19 on Thursday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” equating the deception to the classic “the condom fell off” excuse.

“Aaron is a Karen,” Kimmel said. “That’s the fact of the matter. Honestly, the only thing worse than not getting vaccinated when you’re in close contact with other people, is letting them think you’re vaccinated when you’re not. It’s basically the COVID equivalent of, ‘The condom fell off.’”

On Wednesday, news broke that Rodgers had gone into quarantine after testing positive for COVID-19, meaning he will miss Sunday’s game between the Green Bay Packers and the Kansas City Chiefs.

“He’ll be watching it from Mahomes,” Kimmel zinged, referring to the Chiefs’ QB, Patrick Mahomes II.

“And no one seems to know that he wasn’t vaccinated,” the host continued. “He hasn’t been wearing a mask, even where it’s required, and at one point, he claimed he was ‘immunized,’ but looking back when he said it, it should have been obvious that he was not.”

Kimmel then played some footage of Rodgers stating during an August NFL press conference, “Yeah, I’ve been immunized,” that had been edited to include human hands making air quotes around the vax lie when the quarterback spoke.

“We now know he is not vaccinated, because unvaccinated players who test positive have to isolate for 10 days,” the ABC late-night host continued. “Had he been vaccinated, he would have had a chance to play this weekend. Aaron Rodgers reportedly received a homeopathic treatment over the summer, instead of the vaccine. You know, we should have known, because nothing says, ‘I heal myself with crystals,’ like this haircut,” Kimmel said, flashing a picture of Rodgers’ top knot on the screen.
