‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ First Trailer Resurrects Colin Firth, Welcomes Channing Tatum

CinemaCon 2017: Tatum gets audience rolling with laughter

The first trailer for “Kingsman: The Golden Circle” dropped at the annual CinemaCon conference on Thursday, welcoming back spies Taron Egerton and Colin Firth and teasing lots of action and epic stunts.

In the trailer, which is not yet available to the public, it becomes clear there is some sort of underground organization that is in charge of removing fingerprints, scrapping DNA off tetth — basically, removing all traces from dead bodies. However, it’s not really clear whether this organization is a friend or an enemy to the British spy organization. The film’s log line states that after their headquarters are destroyed, the Kingsman need to bond together with an allied spy organization in the United States to defeat a common enemy.

The trailer was full of epic stunts and action scenes, enough to get the crowd riled up at the convention. And Channing Tatum’s patriotic lines got the entire audience laughing as well.

Julianne Moore, Jeff Bridges, Elton John and Halle Berry as well as “Narcos” star Pedro Pascal  and Tatum star in the sequel, which will also see Mark Strong return. Previously released posters have implied that Firth would return although he was shot by Samuel L. Jackson‘s character in “Kingsman: The Secret Service.”

Matthew Vaughn directs the film that will hit theaters on September 29 of this year.
