The 2017 BE Conference has kicked off in Austin, Texas — where actress and entrepreneur Kristen Bell will begin the gathering of influential women in conversation with TheWrap Founder and CEO Sharon Waxman.

Bell will discuss her all-natural, non-GMO snack bar company This Bar Can Save Lives — which delivers a packet of life-saving food to a child in need for every bar purchased.
Bell is a decorated stage and screen actress, currently starring the Mike Schur’s NBC comedy “The Good Place” with Ted Danson. She’s one of the lead voices of Walt Disney’s juggernaut animated film franchise “Frozen,” and most recently appeared in the STX R-rated hit “Bad Moms” with Mila Kunis and Kathryn Hahn. She was also the star of the cult hit CW series “Veronica Mars.”
The BE is a special gathering of influential women in Media, Entertainment, Entrepreneurship and Technology.
The two-day event offers networking, workshops, panels and mentor sessions with top industry executives, thought leaders and creatives in a first-class setting for networking, mentorship and ideas.

Within hours, that phrase became a feminist rallying cry, applicable to any situation in which women have been essentially told to sit down and shut up.
