Kristen Wiig’s comedy “Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar” will hit theaters on July 31, 2020, Lionsgate announced on Friday.

Annie Mumolo, Jamie Dornan and Damon Wayans Jr. also star in the Josh Greenbaum-directed film, which was written by Mumolo and Wiig, who also co-wrote “Bridesmaids.”

Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Wiig, Mumolo and Jessica Elbaum are producing.

“Barb and Star” follows two best friends who leave their small Midwestern town to go on vacation in Vista Del Mar, Florida, where they soon find themselves in an evil plot by a villain to kill everyone in town.

In May, the film pulled out of filming in the state of Georgia in protest of the anti-abortion “heartbeat bill” recently signed into law.

Also opening in theaters on July 31, 2020 is Jared Leto’s “Morbius.”
