KTLA 5 Morning News entertainment correspondent Sam Rubin once identified Samuel L. Jackson as Laurence Fisburne and on Friday he was identified as “fat” by one of his own colleagues.

The on-air blooper, which KTLA delighted in so much that the Los Angeles local news station posted the 22-second video (below) to Facebook,

“My wife calls and says, ‘Since when did you become the fat guy on that show?’ Rubin told his colleagues on camera.

“He’s always been,” traffic reporter Ginger Chan blurted out before realizing her microphone was on.

“Did I have my mic on?” Chan said. “I’m so sorry!”
