Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian aren’t getting divorced — but they’re not necessarily rekindling their relationship, either.
“Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star Khloe Kardashian clarified her relationship status with Odom — who’s recovering after being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel earlier this month — in an interview with People.
Kardashian’s assessment? It’s complicated.
Following news that paperwork had been filed to halt the couple’s divorce proceedings, Kardashian told People that she’s currently “not even thinking about us as a couple,” due to Odom’s still-iffy medical condition.
“There are too many other important things, too many medical things. It’s not even in our brains thinking about us as a couple or having a relationship right now,” Kardashian said.
The reality TV star added that she still loves the former NBA star, who she married in 2009.
“I loved him always, and I will always love him,” Kardashian said. “I don’t believe love is fickle. I believe when you love someone, you are allowed to love from afar. You don’t have to be with that person in order to love him.”
Odom was found unconscious at Love Ranch in Nevada on Oct. 13, after booking a five-day, $75,000 stay with two prostitutes. Though initial reports indicated that Odom had admitted to taking cocaine prior to his arrival and had taken “up to 10” herbal sexual enhancement supplements during his stay, court papers obtained by TheWrap indicate that he may have ingested cocaine while at the brothel.
After initially being hospitalized in Nevada, the former Los Angeles Laker is currently in L.A. undergoing further treatment.
