Fox News host Laura Ingraham announced Wednesday that she will end her longtime syndicated radio show and transition into a new career in podcasting.

“While hosting a prime-time television show and raising three children on my own, continuing a three-hour morning radio show was no longer feasible,” Ingraham said in a statement, saying that the demands of her Fox News program and early morning radio were too much.

“Although I will greatly miss my radio listeners and affiliates, working late nights and early mornings has taken a toll on my family life. Plus, my radio audience is smart, savvy and committed, and I know most will follow my new show in the format that is revolutionizing the audio world — digital podcasting,” she said.

The podcast, to be known as “The Laura Ingraham Show” will launch this January and be hosted by PodcastOne.

“Due to her huge success on the Fox News channel, daily podcasts are a much better fit for Laura’s hectic schedule and provides her listeners in all markets access at any time to the new Laura Ingraham Show podcast,” PodcastOne chief Norm Pattiz said in a statement. “She’s at the top of her game and her new original podcasts will fit perfectly on PodcastOne.”

Ingraham, who has spent 17 years on the radio, has seen her profile rise dramatically after launching a primetime program on Fox News last October. Her current radio show is distributed by Norman Pattiz’s Courtside Entertainment Group.

Though her prime-time “The Ingraham Angle” has kept pace with Fox News’ typically blow-out ratings, she has drawn unusual fire in her first year. In March 2018, Ingraham publicly mocked Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg on Twitter, precipitating a nasty advertiser boycott that saw more than 20 sponsors distance themselves from the show.
