Lauren Ambrose and Nell Tiger Free have been cast in M. Night Shyamalan’s untitled Apple series.

Ambrose will play Dorothy, a mother in the psychological thriller, and Free will play Leanne, a nanny.

The series was created by Tony Basgallop, who will write and executive produce. Shyamalan will also executive produce and direct the first episode. Blinding Edge Pictures will produce the series, with Ashwin Rajan also executive producing, as well as the Escape Artists team of Jason Blumenthal, Todd Black, Steve Tisch and co-executive producer Taylor Latham.

Ambrose has recently appeared in “The X-Files” and “My Fair Lady,” and is a two-time Emmy nominee. Free recently played Myrcella Baratheon on “Game of Thrones.”

The series is part of several series Apple is working on, including a project from Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, a content deal with Oprah, an untitled project from “La La Land” director Damien Chazelle and more.
