Lea Michele Is Having a Breakdown in ‘Cannonball’ Music Video

But she’ll fly, she’ll fly, she’ll fly like a cannonball

Lea Michele is having a breakdown in the music video for her new single, “Cannonball,” which she said has helped her deal with the loss of her boyfriend and “Glee” co-star, Cory Monteith.

“It certainly helps me with my loss that I’m dealing with,” Michele told MTV. “And I think it will translate and help people with whatever they need it for. I hope it gives them strength.”

Monteith died in July after an accidental overdose of heroin and alcohol. The 31-year-old actor, who played Finn Hudson on “Glee,” was Michele’s love interest on and off screen.

“For me, it’s been my strength,” Michele added when talking to MTV about the emotional song. “I listen to it every day. I know it was brought into my life for a reason.”

“Cannonball” is the first single from Michele’s upcoming debut album, “Louder,” which will be released on March 4.
