Legendary Digital Media has hired Greg Siegel to oversee development and production of new projects for the “Dark Knight” producer’s digital division. Siegel joins Legendary from Defy Media, the entity created by the merger of Break Media and Alloy Digital.
Siegel had overseen development at Break, a web video production and distribution company. He shepherded production of “Higher Power,” a feature film Break is making with Lorenzo di Bonaventura, as well as Prototype, a digital short film competition.

Legendary is bringing in Siegel to help establish its nascent digital division. The film producer and financier hired former Warner Bros. TV chief Bruce Rosenblum to run its TV division last June and then former Paramount executive Tom Lesinski to run the digital division under Rosenblum’s leadership.
Siegel will now help Lesinski develop and producer short-form and long-form digital series that could appear everywhere from YouTube and Yahoo to Netflix and Hulu. He started his career in the agency world, having worked at Endeavor for 11 years.
