Wentworth Miller has exited The CW’s “Legends of Tomorrow” as a series regular, TheWrap has learned.
The actor, who plays Leonard Snart, a.k.a. Captain Cold, has signed a new deal with Warner Bros. TV that allows him flexibility in appearing on shows across the CW DC comic book adaptation universe.
Miller originated the role of Snart on “The Flash,” where he recurred alongside Dominic Purcell’s character Heatwave before becoming one of the leads on spinoff series “Legends.”
Miller’s Captain Cold is not expected to return to “Legends” in Season 2 as a regular, though he will continue to have an active role. The series also stars Caity Lotz, Victor Garber, Franz Drameh and Arthur Darvill.
On Thursday the CW DC universe expanded once again when the network picked up CBS’ “Supergirl” for a second season, joining “Legends,” “The Flash” and the show that started it all, “Arrow.”
Miller next returns to Fox to reprise his “Prison Break” character (again alongside Purcell) for a reboot of the cult hit drama that ended in 2009. He is represented by ICM.
