Rachel Maddow Nabs 4.3 Million Viewers for Lev Parnas Part 2, 3rd-Largest Audience Ever

Thursday show sits behind the first part of Rachel Maddow’s Parnas interview and a January 2019 episode

“The Rachel Maddow Show” hauled in 4.3 million viewers on Thursday, when MSNBC ran the second-part of Maddow’s Lev Parnas interview.

That tally made it the third most-watched “Maddow” episode, ranking behind only Parnas Part 1 the previous night (4.5 million total viewers) and the Jan. 8, 2019 episode, which followed a President Trump speech on border security.

And yes, this “Maddow” beat the time that host Maddow kinda wasted all of our time with that Trump tax return non-revelation.

Last night’s 4.3 million viewers also made “Maddow” No. 1 again across all of cable. Only five shows on all of television last night had more eyeballs than “The Rachel Maddow Show.” All five of them were on broadcast, four of which — “Young Sheldon,” “Mom,” “The Unicorn” and “Carol’s Second Act” — aired on CBS. (That fifth one was Tim Allen’s “Last Man Standing,” now a Fox sitcom.)

Maddow also beat Fox News Channel and CNN in the 9 p.m. hour among adults 25-54, the key demographic for advertisers on news programming.

Parnas, an associate of Rudy Giuliani accused of being involved in the attempt to pressure the Ukrainian government to investigate former vice president Joe Biden’s son in order to boost Donald Trump’s re-election efforts, told Rachel Maddow on Wednesday that Trump “knew exactly what was going on.”
