A new trailer for “Whitney” has been released and, from the looks of things, viewers are in for a salacious treat when the film premieres Jan. 17. There’s the meteoric rise to fame. The tumultuous personal life. Randy bedroom romps. Powdery substances. Yelling and fighting. Tears. In short, everything that you’d expect and hope for.
“Whitney,” which was directed by Angela Bassett and stars Yaya DaCosta (“Lee Daniels‘ The Butler”) as the ill-fated singer, tells the taleĀ chronicles the headline-making relationship between Houston and singer and songwriter Bobby Brown from the time they first met at the very height of their celebrity to their courtship and tumultuous marriage.
