Lindsay Lohan is hoping to put her mouth where your money is.
After earning a collective raised eyebrow from the general public with a bizarre new accent last week, Lohan is hoping to use the accent for a couple of good causes.
The “Mean Girls” star has teamed with Represent.com to flog a line of tops bearing the message, “I Only Speak Lilohan” — which is, presumably, the new name for Lohan’s odd speech mannerisms.
A “Next Level Premium Fitted Tee” bearing the message will set you back $24.99 — though, if you want to splurge, there’s also a pullover sweatshirt available for $39.99.
Sales from the shirts will benefit Caudwell Children, which aids disabled children in the U.K., and Turkish disaster-management organization AFAD.
“I wanted to turn a silly viral event into something positive for the world. I speak ‘Lilohan’ in order to voice support for AFAD and Caudwell Children; two charities incredibly close to my heart,” Lohan said of the new clothing line.
Shortly after a video of Lohan sporting her new accent emerged, the actress explained, “It’s a mixture of most of the languages I can understand or am trying to learn … ‘I’ve been learning different languages since I was a child. I’m fluent in English and French can understand Russian and am learning Turkish, Italian and Arabic.”
At least Lohan’s desire to help others is genuine — because apparently her new accent is anything but.
