Lionsgate Dates Sylvester Stallone, Robert DeNiro, Jesse Eisenberg Films

"The Tomb," which stars Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger, will debut in theaters next September

Sylverster Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger will assault multiplexes next September, five months after Robert DeNiro and Diane Keaton charm audiences in "The Big Wedding."

Lionsgate has slated “The Tomb,” an action thriller starring Stallone, Schwarzenegger and Jim Caviezel, for Sept. 27, 2013. The film chronicles Ray Breslin (Stallone), a structural engineer who gets imprisoned in a facility he designed alongside Emil Rottmayer (Schwarzenegger).

If Lionsgate sticks with that date, "The Tomb" will compete with Fox's “Runner Runner,” which stars Ben Affleck and Justin Timberlake, as well as Relatviity's “Paranoia,” which stars Harrison Ford, Liam Hemsworth and Gary Oldman. All three films are male-driven dramas or thrillers.

Lionsgate has also moved up “The Big Wedding,” a romantic comedy starring DeNiro and Keaton from “The Bucket List” scribe Justin Zackham. Previously set for Oct. 26, 2012, it will now bow April 26, 2013.

“Now You See Me,” a heist movie starring Jesse Eisenberg and Marf Ruffalo, moves from March 15, 2013 to June 7.
