Stars of J.J. Abrams‘ rebooted Star Trek franchise Zoe Saldana and Zachary Quinto will be featured in an hour-long episode of “Lip Sync Battle” next Thursday.
As a lead-in to Spike’s 10th Annual “Guys Choice” awards show, the pair will appear along with a number of surprise “A-list” celebrities and musicians in the special episode. Past shows have featured performances by Shaquille O’Neal, Channing Tatum and Jane the Virgin’s Gina Rodriguez.
Saldana and Quinto will reprise their roles as Uhura and Spock, respectively, in the latest installment of the Star Trek franchise “Star Trek: Beyond,” which is slated to open in theaters nationwide on July 22.
“Lip Sync Battle” is executive produced by Casey Patterson, Jay Peterson of Matador Content, John Krasinski, Stephen Merchant, and Eight Million Plus Productions. The “Tonight Show” spinoff series is hosted by LL Cool J; Chrissy Teigen DJs the party.
“Lip Sync Battle,” hosted by LL Cool J and Chrissy Teigen, airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on Spike. The hour-long special will air on June 9.
