Lohan’s Lawyer Denies Jewelry-Theft Accusation

Attorney says client is prepared to fight accusations in court

Lindsay Lohan's lawyer on Saturday denied reports that his client stole a $2,500 necklace from a Venice, Calif. jewelry store, Reuters reported.

"We vehemently deny these allegations and, if charges are filed, we will fight them in court, not in the press," attorney Shawn Chapman Holley said in a statement.

Holly's statement comes amid reports that the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office has decided to file charges against Lohan.
