There's gonna be even more "Lost" to love.

With little fanfare, Jimmy Kimmel Tuesday revealed "a special two-and-a-half hour finale is coming" later this month, meaning the May 23 series ender will now run from 9-11:30 p.m.

It's "a big announcement," Kimmel said at the end of his interview with "Lost" star Jorge Garcia. The conversation just aired on the east coast.

The development means ABC's (smoke) monster-sized sendoff to "Lost" just got megasized.

As TV MoJoe reported last month, ABC is planning what we called a "Lost" weekend that includes a two-hour "Lost" pre-show, a "Jimmy Kimmel" post-show (now pushed to 12:05 a.m., according to Kimmel show PR reps), and a rebroadcast of the series pilot (with pop-up extras!) the Saturday before.

Including the May 18 penultimate episode, ABC is now planning 8.5 hours of "Lost" programming the week of May 17 — more than a third of its 22-hour schedule.

Here's video of Jimmy K. making the announcement:
