College has leased 50,000 square feet of new space, to open in Fall 2018

Loyola Marymount University is opening a new campus in Playa Vista, California, the college announced Friday.

Through a long-term lease agreement with Tishman Speyer at The Brickyard Playa Vista, LMU will design learning and creative spaces in preparation for a fall 2018 opening. The new space will hold graduate programs for LMU School of Film and Television (SFTV).

“SFTV has incredible access to the industry, and we place a strong emphasis on career pathways. With the new Playa Vista Campus, our students and faculty will further benefit from the dynamic and creative collaborations with those on the forefront of digital media,” said Stephen Ujlaki, the LMU SFTV dean, in a statement.

The LMU Playa Vista Campus is located near the 405 freeway, Jefferson Boulevard and Centinela Avenue at 12105 West Waterfront Drive in Playa Vista, California.
