Lupita Nyong’o met Elmo, and the results were predictably adorable.
The Oscar-winning “12 Years a Slave” actress appeared on “Sesame Street” this week to discuss the important issue of skin — not only in terms of race (though that came up), but also how our outermost shell functions as an important sensory tool.
After all, without skin, it’d be impossible to know if something is hot or cold, prickly or furry, or flawless enough to be put front and center in a major cosmetics advertising campaign.
One thing that is remarkable, though: Until now, Elmo never realized that he had skin under his fur. Who is teaching these muppets? Is the school system in which Sesame Street is districted really that terrible?
