Mackenzie Foy to Play Edward & Bella’s Spawn in ‘Breaking Dawn’

The 9-year-old actress will play Renesmee in Summit’s two-part conclusion of “The Twilight Saga”

If Robert Pattinson's vampire Edward impregnated Kristen Stewart's human Bella, what would their half-dead hybrid love child look like?

Evidently, a lot like Mackenzie Foy, the 9-year-old actress who is in final talks to play Renesmee in Summit's "Breaking Dawn," according to Entertainment Weekly.

Since the character ages a full 17 years in only seven, director Bill Condon reportedly plans to employ similar digital effects to those used by David Fincher on Brad Pitt in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," meaning Foy's face will be digitally transferred onto the face of a younger child, who will likely be cast but hasn't been yet.

Foy has previously appeared on the small screen in one episode each of ABC's "FlashForward" and Fox's "'Til Death."

Her eponymous website is currently on "temporary hiatus," (isn't every hiatus temporary?) and will presumably reappear when the exciting news is ready to be officially announced.

"Lost" and "Taken" star Maggie Grace joined the "Breaking Dawn" cast yesterday as a trouble-making vampire named Irina.

The final installments in "The Twilight Saga" will arrive in theaters on Nov. 18, 2011 and Nov. 16, 2012.

Production on the two-part sequel is scheduled to begin later this fall.
