Sorry, ladies; Steven Avery is off the market.

Steven Avery, the subject of the Netflix documentary series “Making a Murderer,” is engaged to be married, People reports.

Avery, currently in prison for the 2005 murder of photographer Teresa Halbach, is betrothed to Lynn Hartman, identified as a legal secretary — which might come in handy — from Las Vegas, according to People.

The couple have reportedly been dating for eight months, but have met in person only once, which was last week, at the Wisconsin facility where Avery is incarcerated.

“Steven deserves every bit of happiness that comes his way,” Kathleen Zellner, Avery’s attorney, told People. “He is very much in love and happy with Lynn so we are happy for them.”

Avery has been engaged twice in the past and married once. He and Lori Mathiesen, who divorced in 1988, had four children, People noted.

“I’m happy, she treats me decent, she loves me, she’s kind of spoiling me right now,” Avery told the Daily Mail of his lady-love. “I just want to be happy and enjoy my life, I think I did enough time.”

The pair plans to marry following Avery’s release, the Daily Mail noted.

Though Avery is serving a life sentence for the murder, this year has seen a renewed push for his release, following the December 2015 premiere of “Making a Murderer.” On the legal front, attorney Zellner is petitioning for evidence from her client’s case, which she would like to subject to DNA testing that was unavailable at the time of Avery’s trial.

The engagement comes following news that a judge overturned the conviction of Avery’s nephew, Brendan Dassey, who was also convicted of Halbach’s murder. Prosecutors have announced their intention to appeal that decision.
