Pittsburgh Steelers fan Joe Manganiello, the actor cast to play DC assassin Deathstroke in DC Films upcoming “The Batman,” seized a key opportunity to taunt the actors who play Batman and Superman.
What prompted him? The fact that the Steelers advanced Sunday night to the AFC championship after defeating the Kansas City Chiefs — cheered on by Supes himself, Henry Cavill.
Cavill has been a longtime supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs, and was seen on the sidelines of the team’s playoff game against the Steelers on Sunday night.
Alas, it wasn’t the Chiefs’ night.
Next weekend the Steelers will face off against the New England Patriots — and we all know who cheers them on: Boston native Ben Affleck a.k.a. Batman.
He was cast as Deathstroke last summer — a character that is supposed to make an appearance in Zack Snyder’s “Justice League,” the director teased on social media last year.
Both Batman and Superman will also be seen in”Justice League,” which is currently in post-production and is slated for release this November.
If the Steelers win, beat Batman’s team, and advance to the Superbowl, then who will Deathstroke troll next? Last time we checked Darkseid wasn’t really a football fan.
