Mark Zuckerberg officially changed his Facebook status to “Married” on Saturday after tying the knot with his girlfriend of nine years, Priscilla Chan.

The newlyweds, who coupled up during their college days at Harvard, made it official at a small ceremony at Zuckerberg’s house in Palo Alto, California.

Honoring the traditions of the social network he created, the Facebook founder and CEO uploaded a wedding photo (pictured) to go with his status update on the site, which had drawn over 201,700 “likes” from well-wishers by 7:30 p.m. Pacific time.

It’s been a banner week for the Facebook wunderkind — Zuckerberg turned 28 on Monday, four days before his company went public in the tech world’s biggest initial public offering to date. Although the stock had sputtered by Friday’s final bell, closing at $38.23 after starting at around $42 per share, the sale was projected to raise between $16 to $18 billion for the company. Zuckerberg is Facebook’s biggest stakeholder with 503.6 million shares.

It was also an eventful week for his 27-year-old bride, as Chan graduated from medical school at the University of California, San Francisco on Zuckerberg’s birthday.

Less than 100 guests attended the backyard party, which they had thought was going to be a graduation party for Chan, according to the Associated Press.
