‘Married at First Sight’: Danielle Explains Why She Won’t Have Sex With Husband (Exclusive Video)

“We’re kind of at a standstill,” she says on the Lifetime unscripted series

Only one couple has yet to consummate their relationship on the fifth season of “Married at First Sight,” and the pair don’t appear much closer to getting busy during Thursday’s episode.

An exclusive clip from the Lifetime unscripted series’ latest installment shows Danielle and Cody meeting with relationship expert Rachel DeAlto to discuss the obstacles that are keeping them from going all the way.

“Definitely, right now, we’re kind of at a standstill where he’s being patient but kindly reminding me every day he wishes that there was more,” Danielle explains. “Then I push away more because I just feel like I’m not there, and I’m not ready, and I’m just feeling like I’m still comfortable with just little things, touching, even maybe a little cuddling, hand-holding.”

She adds that she “can’t force a physical interaction just to see if we’re out of [the friend zone] because it won’t be a good experience for me, and it won’t make us grow together. That might make me shut down totally.”

A frustrated Cody later talks to DeAlto and admits that the couple’s inability to move things forward has been tough for him.

“I just need some type of physical romance,” he explains. “There’s none — it’s killing me, man. It brings me down. It’s affecting other parts of my life because I’m stressed.”

“Right now, I would say I’m not real happy — it’s not a good relationship for me,” Cody continues.
