Maxim magazine has named Dan Ragone publisher and group media president, replacing former publisher Kevin Martinez, who was recently let go.
Ragone spent the last six years as president and publisher of Interview. He served as Elle’s vice president, managing director and Elle Décor’s publisher, prior to his stint at Interview, according to FishbowlNY.
Ragone will report to Maxim owner and recently crowned editor in chief Sardar Biglari, as well as special creative adviser Gilles Bensimon, according to WWD.
“Maxim has rapidly transformed as an aspirational and inspirational brand,” Biglari said in a statement. “Dan is a welcome addition to the team, noting that Maxim continues to build momentum as the leading voice in men’s luxury lifestyle.”
