Get ready to ride once again — just make sure you pay your respects first.
In a new teaser video for “Mayans M.C.” fans can see an elaborate roadside tribute to Jax, who (spoiler!) died in the “Sons of Anarchy” series finale.
“Mayans” picks up where “Sons” left off, seeing EZ Reyes as a prospect in the Mayans M.C. charter at the United States’ border with Mexico in California. Where EZ was once the golden boy on the hunt for the America Dream, he finds he must carve out a new identity for himself.
The teaser video comes just days before “Mayans” makes its debut at San Diego Comic-Con with a panel in Hall H on Sunday at 1 p.m. Co-creators Kurt Sutter and Elgin James will be at the panel, along with executive producer/director Norberto Barba and stars JD Pardo, Clayton Cardenas, Edward James Olmos, Sarah Bolger, Michael Irby, Carla Baratta, Antonio Jaramillo, Raoul Max Trujillo, Richard Cabral, Danny Pino, Emilio Rivera, Frankie Loyal, Joseph Lucero and Vincent Rocco Vargas.
The drama series is produced by Fox 21 Television Studios and FX Productions.
“Mayans M.C.” premieres on FX on Sept. 4.
From 'Sons of Anarchy' to 'Mayans MC': 12 More TV Spinoffs We'd Like to See (Photos)
FX has given an official script order to Kurt Sutter‘s planned “Sons of Anarchy” spinoff series, now titled “Mayans MC” -- but "Sons of Anarchy" isn't the only series we think is worthy of a spinoff. Here are 12 others.
Game of Thrones
A look back at Robert's Rebellion featuring a young Ned Stark, Robert Baratheon, and The Mad King.
Agents Miller (Robbie Amell) and Einstein (Lauren Ambrose )take over the investigations into the paranormal where Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) left off. The franchise is definitely going in this direction, right?
Fox
Archer
Pam Poovey (Amber Nash) returns home to run Poovey Farms with her sister.
FX
Lost
We're down for any story that makes more sense than the one in the original series. So literally, any story.
ABC
House of Cards
We go inside the halls of power, but from the perspective of Hill staffers. Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly) could be their ring leader.
Joan (Christina Rene Hendricks) works her way through the 1980s in a way that would give Gordon Gekko a run for his money.
AMC
Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul
Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) is great, but why not another "Breaking Bad" spinoff? We're intrigued by rise of crystal meth and chicken kingpin Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito). It looks like he's coming to "Better Call Saul," but we also wouldn't mind finding out what happened in Chile.
Suppose Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) have kids, but it turns out their kids love sports and/or glamour more than science? Chaos ensues.
With more and more female superheroes populating the "Arrow" and "The Flash" universe, fans have been increasingly vocal about the potential for a new "Birds of Prey" series.
The CW
The Good Wife
Eli Gold (Alan Cumming) and his daughter, Marissa (Sarah Steele), help his ex-wife Vanessa (Parker Posey) run for office against Frank Prady (David Hyde Pierce). Kurt McVeigh (Gary Cole) can drop by whenever someone needs ballistics tested.
CBS
Scandal
Jake (Scott Foley) decides to move on from Olivia (Kerry Washington) and his life in DC, taking a new job with a private military contractor.
