Pro tip: Don’t join a Spanish-speaking motorcycle club unless you speak Spanish. Otherwise, you might just find yourself at the doctor’s office, with the doctor thinking you want a sex change.
In a new teaser for “Mayans, M.C.” — which premieres on FX Tuesday, Sept. 4 — one member learns that lesson the hard way.
“He wants a sex change, doctor,” Angel Reyes (Clayton Cardenas) tells the doc in Spanish of an injured Creeper (Joseph Lucero), to laughter from the rest of the club.
“What, what are you guys talking about?” Creeper asks. “Why are they laughing?”
“Mayans” stars JD Pardo as EZ Reyes, a new recruit to the “Mayans” club. Clayton Cardenas also stars, with Edward James Olmos, Sarah Bolger, Michael Irby, Carla Baratta, Antonio Jaramillo, Raoul Max Trujillo, Richard Cabral, and Danny Pino. Showrunner Kurt Sutter co-created the series with Elgin James.

“Mayans M.C.” premiers on FX on September 4.
