Apparently, Meat Loaf was a little too dry on Thursday night.

The “Bat out of Hell” singer’s collapse during a concert in Canada on Thursday was due to “severe dehydration,” according to a statement on his Facebook page.

The statement went on to note that Meat Loaf was hospitalized but is on the mend.

“His vital signs are stable and normal — additional tests are being performed but he is responsive and recovering well,” the message notes.

“He extends his heartfelt thanks for everyone’s support and well wishes, and is expecting a speedy and full recovery,” the statement concludes.

The 68-year-old singer collapsed near the end of his concert at the Northern Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He had canceled another concert at the same venue on Monday “due to illness,” according to his Facebook page.

Meat Loaf is scheduled to perform seven more shows in Canada through July 2, according to his official website.
