Tom Wilkinson and Jai Courtney round out the cast.

In the film, three male detectives become embroiled in a tense struggle after a tragic accident that leaves a small child in a coma. One is guilty, one will try and cover it up, and the other attempts to expose the details.

Directed by Matthew Saville, the film was written by Joel Edgerton, who will also star and produce, alongside Michael Benaroya of Benaroya Pictures and Rosemary Blight ("The Sapphires") of Goalpost Pictures Australia.

Myles Nestel and Lisa Wilson are executive producing for The Solution Entertainment Group.

Village Roadshow has taken Australian rights to the film, which starts shooting in Sydney on Monday.

"Having read two of Joel's scripts recently, I've become a big fan of his writing," Benaroya said in a statement. "I have always thought he is a wonderful actor, so I am very pleased to be in business with him and with Rosemary."

Blight and Goalpost Pictures will next have “The Sapphires,” which is due for release in early 2013 by the Weinstein Company. “The Sapphires” is the highest grossing Australian film of 2012.

Benaroya Pictures' romantic mystery “The Words,” starring Bradley Cooper, Zoe Saldana, Jeremy Irons, Dennis Quaid and Ben Barnes, was released by CBS Films earlier this year.
