Melissa Joan Hart goes to trial to defend her religious beliefs in a new trailer for “God’s Not Dead 2.”
In the sequel to 2014’s successful “God’s Not Dead,” starring Kevin Sorbo, Shane Harper and Willie Robertson of “Duck Dynasty,” Hart plays a public school teacher who is at risk of losing her job after bringing up Jesus in the classroom.
“I would rather stand with God and be judged by the world, than stand with the world and be judged by God,” she says in the trailer.
The movie’s cast includes Hart, Jesse Metcalfe, David A. R. White, Hayley Orrantia, Ernie Hudson, Sadie Robertson, Robin Givens, Maria Canals-Barrera and the late Fred Thompson, with Pat Boone and Ray Wise.
The Pure Flix Entertainment film is directed by Harold Cronk and written by Chuck Konzelman and Cary Solomon.
“God’s Not Dead 2” hits theaters April 1, 2016.
